Hi everyone.

I need to ship some animals as soon as possible, but now the weather in CA has changed , do you know how or where can I get them, I'm looking for those heat packs to shiip tropical fish, I don't want to use those to keep your body warm because they won't last warm 24 hrs. Any idea?

Thanks

you should be able to find heat packs in your local pharmacy, or sporting goods store.they're basically the same thing, only sometimes a bit smaller.

However, if I may be so bold, may I suggest that you contact the person(s) (presumed customer) and inform them that you have a recent delay related to the weather? I have been reading often lately of folks whose fish arrived practically IQF (Individually Quick Frozen). I wouldn't be surprised if many would agree that, had they known, they would have waited.

There are now some "mega" heat packs in the pharmacies--for the back and other large areas--that I wouldn't suggest using until doing some of your own tests to determine how they'd perform boxed.

What you really need is "staying power", and without a business phonebook I wouldn't know how to direct you to a source other than sporting goods stores. Those are the only type of paks I've used (we'd get commercial quantities--cases--and were used for commercial ship).

Sorry, don't know why the link came out that way. From the main page (www.customaquatics.com), click on category heaters, and when the page comes up, click on the "custom aquatics" "brand" link at the top (with the other manufacturers). The only thing that comes up with them as the manufacturere is the heat packs.....

Harder than it had to be, why didn't the link work? :?

Kevin
