Hi all,

I bought two acros from an LFS and while acclimating them in my tank I saw two flatworms in one of the bags. I did not see any in the LFS tank, however.

I want to do everything I can to kill them before adding the acros to my tank. Will a iodine dip kill the flatworms? A freshwater dip? Both?

I usually dip all my SPS in iodine, but I have never done a freshwater one. Forgive me if these are stupid questions: how long do I dip them? Should I bring the RO/DI water PH to match the tank where I will place them?

Thank you very much,

Eddi

FW dip will do. Actually, prepare a quaratine tank for the acros. Place acros in the quarantine and observe traces of remaining flatworms. Do another FW dip if necessary.

I usually place a powerhead in the freshwater tub to make sure all nook and crannies are blasted with FW.

Hay Ed I recently added a piece of rock not noticing any flat worms at first. However I cant help but notice them now. Do what you can to be certain not to introduce,or they will make themselves at home.
