I basically wanted a place to hold my skimmer, a refug., baffles to reduce bubbles, and a tray on which to place activated carbon. See any probs?

you could easily modify that design to avoid having to drill any holes in the sump tank. also, what are you planning to keep in the refugium?

I thought it was desirable to have an external pump on the sump? And I plan on keeping live sand, rock, macroalgae, all the usual refug. stuff.

looks good to me.... I am interested too..
You got a good thing going too..... I'll split the cost of making them if you want to.

those baffles on the end you an bunch them up close together to give you more fuge space too.

and in the area with the skimmer. if it is wide enough you can throw a micron sock screen in there too.

I have a glass sump made by oceanic. it is great. I either have to custom build a fuge out of acrylic or completemly remove the sump, or run another in tandem..

If i could do it all over again i would have a bigger sump...

the oceanic is great. just not enough room for a fuge
