What is your Alkalinity? pH? Low values of either have contributed to this in the past IME. How much light do they get? Circulation? I have heard increased circulation can reduce pulsing (though not complete stoppage). Kind of hard to say. If your pH is much less than 8 or your Alk is under 2, I would suggest that MAY be the cause.
