I have a tomato Clown fish for awhile now and I noticed something new on it. On it's body, the scales have a small white moldy like object growing on it and it seems to have taken over the fins now. I never encouter this before and I thought it was ick till I looked closer.

I fed it some garlic-oil enriched food and it didn't seem to help. Any ideas on what it is? Any suggestions on how to cure it?

I'd have to say that it is a fungus.

I went through some similar symptoms.
My mistake was to take the fish out and put them into a hospital tank.

I'd recommend a fungal treatment that is reef safe.

Seachem has a few of these that are sold in little tubes. One, Metronidazole cleared up this fungus without seemingly harming my snails or crabs. The water did turn tea colored but that cleared up with carbon and a water change.

I would get some med ASAP or you will be using the fish as fertizer.
