I have five calms in my 180g reef tank. Only one is partially open .
I tried to shake loose anything that could be bothering the clam It is partially open but the mantle is not extended... Everything in the tank is striving including the other four clams. Any suggestions??

Hi osama sounds like your clam is being bothered by somthing or should I say your maroon clown, when I visited you a few months back I noticed it kept knocking it over. it can also be pyramide snails on the shell. try giveing it a fresh water dip. hope it recovers

Check at night by flashlight. Many of the offending pests are nocturnal.

Thanks to ALL
Clamlvr: I was able ( unbelievable) to trap & move out the clownfish from my 180g into my 65g tank.
Scott,Anemone, clamlvr: I checked for bristleworms & pyramid snails I do not see any on the clam I do have the pyramid snail in the tank & the population seems to be decreasing since I introduced a copperband butterfly.
I moved the one clam up closer to the light If it does not open up in a day or two I will try the water dip. How long do I keep it in the fresh water. I will bring the water temp to the same temp as the tank....

Osama I may be wrong here but I do believe the copperband butterfly does not eat pyramide snails if I am wrong someone correct me. for pyramide snails you need a 6-line wrass they will pick the snails off the clam also you would only find bristl worms in your calm if it was already dying.

Be carfull here also if the clam was not getting much light to begin with you might do more harm to it. it will also not open fully because of to much light.
