Are DAS aquariums a good buy or not??

How do they work and does anyone have any pics of one and how they actually function?

I would avoid anything DAS makes like the plague. Including the aquariums themselves. We used to be a dealer, they may be fine for Freshwater, but when it comes to Marine aquaria DAS really has no clue, and their tanks are poorly built for the money IMO.

If you want a wet room, a lost reef, an upset wife, and a company that doesn't give a s**t, then buy one. These are horrible and you can't reach anyone who cares!

I like mine, 75 gal Ecolux Hex with H99, currently setup as FOWLR.

Removed the bio-filter (foam spool), lowered pump and just using 40#LR/4-5"DSB for filtration. Bioload was purple tang, yellow wrasse, neon gobie and two clowns with NH3, nitrate and nitrite showing zero on Hagen testkit.

Only negative would be fitting MH's in the canopy.

I have a DAS that was given to me. I have not had any problems with it yet. But I have sent DAS two emails with questions and they have not bothered to respond. I would recommend going with someone the others here have had success with.
