Mangrove In A Vase/With Fanworm Possible ?

Hey All,
I was curiuos if it is possible to keep a Mangrove in a clear vase with a fanworm ? I would like to know if the lights at my work will keep the Mangrove alive since i have never cared for Mangrove and what type of lighitng is required. If possible to keep the mangrove under those lights can I keep the Fanworm?? do i need to put a airstone are something ?

Haven't dealt with mangroves myself, but here are some links that might help you out:

If you are talking about the fluorescent lighting in the office being able to maintain the mangrove .... then I doubt it will do very well. May be if you can get it near a window that gets some direct sun for some of the day.

I have 20 in a mangrove swamp filter lit 24/7 with 2 40 watt shop bulbs & they are branching nice

they do root a bit so I'd get a big vase

office lights won't keep anything alive. c'mon now.......THINK. they're OFFICE LIGHTS, not grow lights.

PS - lol. sorry for yellin but i was traumatized after killing my bonsai by keeping it in the office. i wasn't thinking. :wink:

Id get a 65 watt power compact from walmart and hang it over it by a chain or if a window is in the room its a no brainer

If you place it by a east or west facing window and be committed to take it out and let it enjoy full day sun twice a week, maybe it will pull through. Maybe.
