I'm sure that it's possible to have a big tank using this simple system.
During the first year will be necessary to change water ( may be daily ) and because of this it's important in this period don't keep a lot of fishes and control the food, but after +- 1 year will be possible to change the salt water 1 time per year.
The important here is give time to time and respect the capacity of the system.
