branching flower pot help

i noticed this white type fuzz buts its hard (not soft like the other white things that grow on rocks). how should i get ride of this? should i just pick at it with a screwdriver or something or leave it?

Pictures are a great help--the description can only go so far.

Unfortunately, goniopora have very dismal survival rates these days.

Branching flower-pot souds like alveopora to me, who knows, maybe it has a chance. You're going to need to give a better description of what this stuff is and what it's doing to the coral.

I'd keep the screw driver in the tool box for the time being. :wink:
