Sen 900 pump Total Junk!

I have a sen 900 that is less than 6 months old and about 4 months use on it. The impeller magnet is totally cracked already. Has anyone else had this problem? This has to be the quickest pump failure in my reefkeeping career. The worst part about it is that Won Brothers will not warranty it at all. In fact the lady who i spoke to was fairly rude and was tough to understand. She actually hung up on me at one point. I would think an impeller magnet should last more than 4 months. Sorry for my rant but i am angry at Won Brothers lack of support.

I have had constant problems with the impellars freezing up on mine. It would be a great pump if they could solve this problem (at least IME)

Sorry about your trouble. Mine's been working flawlessly for two years. It came with my ETS skimmer and I'd never heard of it before.

My impeller cracked and stopped working after 1.5 years. I pulled it out and it had signs of rust showing though the crack. I ordered a new impeller from Champion lighting and it is running again. 6 months is a ridiculous amount of time for an impellor to crack. I would never buy a Sen 900 again. I have 4 year old Mag 7s still running flawlessly.

wow 6mo.'s and they wont warrantee it? that is stupid it's oviously a defect on their end. next time buy a mag i use these on my own tanks as well as clients they hold up very well over time and i have never had problems. they are a little loud but not bad at all. some times i use einhiem pumps on my higher budgeted clients tanks their quieter and just as good as far as i've seen.

Thats was got me angry was their lack of support. Its only been used for 4 months. Its obvious to me that it is a defect. I have never seen a impeller magnet break after 4 months. I could see if it was the platic part of the impeller and something got sucked up and broke it, but the magnet just split. I will never buy another sen pump. I wanted to warn others of their lack of service, if they end up having a problem with theirs.
