I'm considering a 180 bowfront w/live rock & live sand ...

I have a purple tang in my current tank, and I'm thinking of putting together a Red Sea tank ... my tang, plus a couple of Heniochus intermedius ... any other recommendations of Red Sea fish?

I'm definitely going to do my homework before starting this project ... thanks in advance! :)

C. semilarvatus (Golden butterfly
C. fasciatus (Red Sea Raccoon bf)
Pomacanthus asfur (Asfur angelfish) or it's hardier counterpart P. maculosus (Yellowbar angel)

Sunrise Dottyback
Orchid dottyback

Just a few from some of my references.

As far as looks and personality go, you can't go wrong with
an imperator (emperor) angel. I got my red sea emperor from
Randy at the Marine Center.

Red Sea Reef Guide by Helmut Debelius and the recent FAMA articles by Fenner are a both great sources of information on Red Sea fish.

I have a Psuedochromis springeri which is very cool. I had him about 8-years now and he is very mellow. I don't see many around for some reason, must not breed well. I also have a Pygoplites diacanthus ( RED Sea Regal) that eats like a pig and stays medium size. Unfortunately not all of them do. I got mine after seeing one in Greg Schiemer's tank that he has had for 6-years. Centropyge acanthops is a hardy small angel. The imperator is king. The king gets pretty big.

Here's my current thinking ...

1 Purple Tang
2 Heniocus Intermedius
2 Masked Butterflies
1 Imperator Angel (or Map Angel, haven't decided)

Too much? Compatability problems?

Still researching ... don't wanna be one of those folks that runs to the LFS, buys lots of stuff, and THEN asks the right questions ... :D
