Hello, anybody could give me a lay out of a DIY refugium, I was thinking of using a 10g glass tank. Pictures would really help. I have a sump already but I want to add a refugium. Thanks.
if you already have a sump it's pretty simple. set the tank up so it is a little higher then your sump, get it drilled for a bulkhead so you can drain out of it, tee off some of your tank drain water to flow into the far side of the fuge and let the water flow through the buckhead into the sump where it will get pumped back into the main tank. some folks think the return pump ride is to violent, but i think many more agree the pods and such do just fine. no fancly baffling is needed just water in one side and out the other so it flows across the whole tank. good luck
