I have blue/green chromis and really like them. Not too nasty with each other, colorful, very active and easy to keep. Also they don't get very big. Depending on the size of your tank any odd number will do. 5 is probably a nice amount for a larger tank, 3 will work well in a smaller tank.
Yes chromis good choice, also anthias squampinnis watch a reef scene, and that will be the most prolific sp. But anthius do need better water conditions than chromis viriardis?
