Anyone has problem with this ballast. In the past, I have heard that IceCap Metal Halide Ballast have to be tune for specific brand of light bulb otherwise it might cause the bulb to flicker.

I've been using it with a Ushio 250 watt DE bulb for a few months without any problems. It's a true electronic ballast and doesn't throw off the heat of the typical core & coil ballast. It's also lightweight so I'm able to attach it to the inside of my aquarium stand. Much better than having a big black HOT cinderblock sitting on the floor behind the aquarium :)

I have one running for a week now with ab10k bulb and it works
fine. I had to unplug it for a few minutes the first time to reset it
when I tried to switch timers and it would not come back on, but now
it works flawlessly. I believe the new ones are suppose to fire all 250 bulbs including the de bulbs.

I've been running 2 for about 4 months no problems. These aren't like the old ones as far as tuning. They will fire any bulb made in their wattage.
