I have a dual chamber reactor. I would like your assistance regarding two questions:
1) My drip rate slows down daily. I have to open the valve and readjust it every night. I need to be able to set it & forget it for 2-3 weeks when my wife is in charge... My recirc pump is a mag2 & my flow pump that draws water from the sump is a maxi jet 1200. From the maxijet to the reactor inlet the hose length is about 5-6 feet. I was told to replace the maxi jet. But if I open the control valve fulfy; water flows freely through the reactor back into the sump. Any suggestions? Could the second questin also be a factor
2) The tube connecting the top of the first chamber with the bottom of the second chamber is full of water when I open the control valve but after a while it will be full of air and the reactor continues to drip into the sump. Is this normal or am I sucking in air that is causing problem 1)... Nothing is leaking
Any thoughts arte welcome. Thanks

I've had this problem if I tried to control the flow in front of the reactor or if I had a drip rate that was to slow. I moved the valve to the very end of the system and pushed up the drip rate a bit and I never had the problem again. I can go months at a time without a change in drip rate now.

I don't have a large dual chamber unit like you have however. I use a standard K2R.

I had the same problem as you, I modified the system and added a needle valve at the end of the line. Since the mod, my drip rate is constant. I use a MJ1200 as a feed pump and it seems to work fine.
