Snail poo vs. snail eggs

How do you tell the difference?

My Turbo snails leave these little brown things behind and I dunno if it is its poop or if they are laying eggs.

Poo. I'm not sure, but snail eggs are pretty distinctive and they adhere to a surface.

Poo usually disintegrates when you give a little water flow at it. Eggs are more uniform, and stay put. Maybe you want to use your son's $20 microscope and take a look?

Eeeek I am 20 and if I had a kid that was old enough to use a microscope there would be a problem here

Well what I see is a little brown type rod and all it does is swirl around. Does not disinagrate

It may sounds a bit gross to you, but put the egg/poo between your fingers, and if it pops when you squeez it, it is egg.

I hope you are Pro-Choice... :wink:

I'm sure you could taste the difference. 8O

Eggs are usually left on the glass, tend to be clear with white string like things in the center. Poo tends to be brownish, strand like, and float away.

I ment from those pictures it looks like it is just a bunch of poop
