Looks like a giant 10k USHIO. (there is nothing 10,000k about a 10k USHIO!)
I am really only looking for growth rates and coloration- the spectrum looks good on a graph to accomplish this.
The USHIO costs almost three times as much in a 1,000 watt bulb!! AGH!
I am considering running a Radium and an Iwasaki in the same housing in one of our new SuperSpectrum pendants. That would be 400 watts of the best growth rate and 400 watts of the best blue halide, for 800 watts of GORGEOUS I bet!
That would certainly photograph better than the 1,000 watt! I think I am talking myself into it as I type....
This tank was in a store that just moved. Prior to the move it was all SPS with about 100+ fish. I wish I had my digital camera then! The tank used 2 1000 watt lights for day light and 4 400 watt Radiums for actinics! Note how he could move the light bar up and down.
We also provided a comparison between 150 watt double ended lamps and 175 watt single ended lamps. Post if you have any specific questions that you would like answered.
