Thankyou, I think it is a hamilton, we bought it used. Two 175w MH (currently Ushio 10kk) and two NO actinic. It's downstairs, so we have access thru the t-bar ceiling to hang it.
Em, Nice tank! I liked the all glass tanks myself. Can't stand looking at the ugly trims after installing the 150G that I currently have. So what now, more $$$$ into LR and sand? And what's that pathetic looking canister doing there?
So which one is the dork gave you a turtle neck in the middle of the summer?
The sump is not ready yet, therefore the 'pathetic little canister' and all of the other hideous equipment  is just there for your pleasurable viewing.....
That Mitch guy is trying to decide between suits right now..... :?
The turtleneck giver was busy cooking dinner........
No, you are correct. There is an overhang because of the overflow. The stand is constructed of engineered wood, and the tank glass is 1/2". Do you believe this could be a problem ?
Oh, and there is a sheet of 3/4" plywood under it as well..(you've got me worried now...)
Don't worry. I think the 'rule of thumb' is that as long as you've got a piece of styrofoam to help support it, then you can cantilever 3/4's of the tank.
