Hi,
I purchased a R/O and it does a world of difference but when i check ph of the R/O water its at 9+ is that normal?,when my tap water registers 7.5
why would Iget su.ch a different reading and if a R/O removes minerals wouldnt the ph drop?

I get the exact opposite from my RO unit. The PH of my water drops to about 6.

hi.
If yiou RO pH is too high, just use a straw and blow some air into it with your month. The CO2 in your breath will get the pH to go down very quick. If you RO pH is too low, boil it with a clean pot, and drive off the dissolved gases in it, and it should go back up.

Does either task make your water better? Nope. Does pH of RO (or RODI) matter? Probably not.

Now, if the pH is too low when you test your... :wink:
