WOW, Nice!

Have you have problem with setting up the shelves with eggcrates? I tried it once but the structure did not stay steady and finally scrapped everything and go with PVC frames instead.

BTW, that must be monster size clams. 6"+? Have you had spawning events yet?

I really like your tank, I also have some questions concerning your clams. When I first got into this hobby clams were always my favorite. I at one time had two 9" maxima's that were beautiful. But as time went on I acquire a few high end Crocea's and Maxima's and my clams seem to loose there life and eventually they all died except two inwhich I gave to someone else. I bought and read many books on keeping clams but it and one thing I could figure the problem to be is not enough nitrogen. Being that my tank is almost all sps with 4 fish(two are tiny) my nitrate level has been very low for years. I've got alot of light, and my basic water chemistry is rock solid. I wonder do I have to much water movement? I have a larger sea swirl, and 4 maxijets 1000 on a wavemaker. My turnover rate is around 1500gal/hour, this is on my 120gal with a 75gal sump. Do you think there is a way provide enough nitrogen through supplementation without causing my sps's to suffer? I use to use DT's, Rotifer's, and Golden Pears. This never seem to help and it eventually I gave it a rest. I am gonna be setting up my 65 gal hex into a reef after xmas. I plan on doing something alot different with it. Any info would be appreciated.
