OR 3500 question

I was just wonder what is the best method when submerging my or 3500 in the sump to connect a 1in return line to the Vinyl tube output? Should i get a smaller diameter vinyl and then buy an adapter? i want best possible waterflow.

Isnt 1 inch return to big? IF my memory serves me right the o/r 3500 should have a pipe size of around 22 mill? you wont get anymore flow using larger pipe? it can only pumpX They are good pumps i have lot of them they are very reliable

well thats what i thought, but a few people on this board told me to use the 1in because it will allow more flow.

You WILL get more flow into your tank with a larger line because you'll have less friction loss with the larger pipe. If the pump output will accept a 3/4" pipe thread fitting, I'd just get a 1" hose barb X 3/4" pipe fitting to connect your 1" return line.
