Very good woodwork! I really like the two back panels coming up the sides.

I assume you will be having a sump (see PVC on the back of the tank). Do you have enough room to get under the stand to work? I can't tell from the picture how big those two openings are on the bottom of the stand are.

Again, great job!

Well.....

It is a 65 High? It is 36" x 18" x 24" high....

The doors are a little smaller than I was planning, but I think I can sqeeze. There will be no back inside, so that should help..... It is going to be tight though.... The hood will be easily removed too.

Stained tonight. Hopefully post more pics tomorrow....

What is a good varnish to use. I got Minwax Indoor/Outdoor "Spar Urethane" Will this be ok? It says it protects against Heavy Sunlight, Moisture, and Temp..... Any suggestions?

Thanks for the kind words....

That's what I used (2 coats). My stand has been up for 3 years and wood is still perfect. Custom hood has been up for over a year and wood is still perfect. The stuff works great.
