I have a K2R and am not too happy with it. I find that it has poor construction (several seams have opened up and I have had to re-glue them). I also find that it is very difficult to control CO2 and water. The Korallin looks a lot better and I am thinking of picking one up. Any comments please.

I use Korralin and its the best construction i ever seen. I have been through many brands and Korralin is one i can step on and still not break...i had a friend toss his across the street and it still works and had no leaks..the flanges are polyproplien..so you never get cracks like acrylic to acrylic. You pretty much pay for what you get. I have a My reef nilsen reactor and while tighting it down i cracked it..I just reglued it but its something i expect from the price. Quality cost.

Hello tex! i had the 3001 but i now have the 4001 on a 500gal + reef tank, it's awsome. Although i run mine at higher outputs than they suggest. They use far less gas than certain other's i could mention? my 4001 is set at 70 bubs co2 min......with an outlet speed of around 90 drips min...which gives me a kh of 11 and an alk of 4.2 and a calcium reading of 480 ppm. And i'v now found that they make a bigger version its called i think the 5001 basically the same diameter as 4001 but twice as tall and a 1060 pump instead of 1250
