i was wondering of other people's experiences on frozen mysis brands. my green mandarin loved hikari frozen mysis but i just bought a pack of san francisco brand frozen mysis and he doesn't like it nearly as much. also, on my last hikari pack one of the frozen cubes had a fish about an inch long in the cube. it was the same white color as the mysis. this time, with the san francisco brand, i found a similar sized and colored shrimp. anyways, anyone else ever find anything interesting in their frozen food? but more importantly, IS ONE BRAND BETTER THAN THE OTHER? cleaner? more nutritious?

I got some packages of frozen formula 2.....
all the cubes were nothing but hard gel balls with a thin coating of green stuff on the outside. I'd never know if I didn't rinse the food first!
It must have just been a bad batch- never happened again?!

IMHO ....some brands are better than others -i think so- YES
My fish seem to prefere the Hikari better as well.

I'm a big fan of Piscine (PE) Mysis. They're usually a larger variety of mysis but my fish seem to go crazy over them. Hikari mysis is next.

As an aside:
I have a pair of Green Mandarin's in my 100g, the male (larger) will eat about 10 pieces of the piscine mysis at a feeding while the female won't touch them. The female is only about 2" so I think they're almost too big for her. I stick to the Hikari Mysis and Hikari Spirulina Brine for her.

For now I feed 1/3 cube of hikari mysis, 1/3 of spirulina brine, and ~1/3 of the PE Mysis twice a day. One feeding I'll soak the foods in 3 drops of Garlic Extract and two sprays of Ultra Vitamin Spray for 1hr. Make sure to rinse the cubes first!
