8O At this very second I am watching my coral banded shrimp eating a bristleworm! I have never heard of such a thing and was wondering if anyone else has observed this behavior?

Haven't observed, but I've heard of it. Not sure if it's a "definitely-get-a-cb" kinda thing, though. Pretty cool, huh?

Oh, no. I am not saying they can help control bristleworms or anything. Just thought it was interesting!

My CB shrimp cleaned out my entire population of bristleworms in my 29 gal tank. Other than that, I love my shrimpie. Never seemed to bother with any other critters, like pods or spaghetti worms.

I have read that they will on several occassions. Shouldn't be surprising really, look at their claws, they are perfect for munching on small inverts. It is the main reason they are not recommended for tanks with a DSB, as they will consume the worms in the sand.
