Has anyone used this product? And if so, has anyone had any decent results with it that justifies the cost of the product and headache of readings being off...?

Also, is it good for just coraline algae and anemone's?

Thanks in advance.

To answer your question: The majority of posters here do not believe than Weiss products do anything. The extraordinary claims on the bottle, along with the lack ingredients makes many feel that the products are snake oil. When I got into the hobby I tried them, and truthfully, all they seemed to do was make my wallet lighter.
Some say that they see good results, but they are in the minority, and it is not possible to tell if the results they see are from the product or from something else. Many achieve the same results without the products.
I am weary of all 'quick fixes' offered in this hobby.

Do a search on Weiss and enjoy the reading.

thank you for the welcome, it's much appreciated and thank you for the informative link. Out of all the places on the web for research and advice, reefs.org seems to be in the top 3-5 and the one I visit most frequently, even though I just signed up not loo long ago.
Thanks again, I'll be throwing this bottle out :)

On the reccomendation of a LFS employee I trusted I bought and tried it. Made green film algae grow like mad and made my skimmer go crazy. That's it. Any product that won't list it's ingredients and claims to be a panacea is suspect in my opinion. The only thing I observed is that it has pectin/apple juice in it and some sugar in addition to whatever else he throws in there.

Actually, since you have it there.... :)

If you could somehow conduct a pH experiment with it... 8)

I added it to two separate tanks a couple years ago.

pH experiment??? did you need something.

I can tell you that as soon as I add that thing, my pH, ammonia and nitrate levels were through way off, pH goes down and ammonia goes through the roof - I lost a couple of fish to it because when I measured my ammonia it said I was at 3+, I almost had a heart attack, so to counteract, I added some detox, well, guess what - the ammonia levels were just fine, it was the damn product, and this was 1-2 days AFTER I put the product in the tank - so their claim of it should go away immediately is bull!
