5300k on a fuge ?

Would this be ok for growing caulerpa . Should I forget it or use it ?
I know it's made for planted FW but was wondering if there might be a problem using it on SW refuge .
Anyone !!! ??

I've got a "plant and aquarium" fluorescent bulb from home depot on my h.o.b. refugium that works great. It has a noticeable pinkish hue that my chaetomorpha goes crazy for.

I run a 5500k metal halide on my reef. It grows xenia, mushrooms, various calerpas, and some pesky red macroalgae as well :roll: .

I've used 4000k bulbs on my reef with good growth results, they just dont look as nice as the higher K bulbs.
