Hi,

I have a 2 inch true percula that has been doing fine. A week ago, I bought a button tipped anemone in the hopes that they would form a bond. The clown has been ignoring the anemone. Yesterday, the clown looked fine and normal. Today, it's hanging out in the anemone at times. It's swimming weird though... with head lowered and a jerky motion. I also noticed that its stomache is round and enlarged (more than yesterday). Is my fish sick??? I have seen freshwater fish with their stomaches swollen that have died not long after. Please let me know if anyone knows. :(

Thanks.

Dude, calm down man. 8) These fish swim funny. I thought the same thing the first couple of weeks I had mine. Is he eating good? If he is mabe that is why his belly is fat. Give it a couple of days.

I am not a disease expert at all, and I just wanted to give a few ideas that you should not really take as fact and act on yet......undercooling can cause airbladders to be effected and turn fish into "head standers", so what is the temp? Intestinal flagelletes can swell a belly, but the rest of the fish will be growing thinner. Just a few thoughts.........remember, I am NOT an expert. I would do as advised, and watch and see, but that's just me.

sorry to poach the thread... but I noticed my clown sleeps on his head, so to speak. swims normally during the day. is that cool?

tank is 77 degrees. I did have a power outage a month ago that cooled the tank down to around 73. Didnt lose any livestock thankfully.
