Looking to buy a tank and stand, but don't want to utilize my LFS. Can anyone recommend a place to buy standard dimension 180 gallon tanks that are predrilled? Any info appreciated.
There is a guy in Tennessee that makes tanks. They always go to reptile shows. I am in NC and he comes to the Raleigh reptile show in the spring and fall. He travels througout the Southeastern US and Has good prices. I forget their name but they are on the web. I will try to remember.
look for a used one, travel farther, or see if you can order from the manufacturer. also try http://go.to/interamerican. my tank is being picked up from them this week, i'll post a quality report at that time.
The guy that ddavis4um is refering to might be the guy I am getting my tank from. www.Glasscages.com, might be without the "s" at the end. If you get the tank from him at one of the shows there is no delivery charge. I am getting a 220 with overflows for $650. I can't remember the 180's price, and I didn't look at stands. I have been planning this 220 for over a year and shopped around. Looked at the cost of driving anywhere to buy a used, even taking a day or two to drive to get the right deal. This guy by far is the best price. Nice guy too, very chatty on the phone. He was telling me his buisness story, and says he does LARGE size installs for zoo's and aquariums. If he is doing that he certainly can build a 220 for me. Go to his site he has a list of shows he will be at(which he adds to regularly). Also has price lists and very cool tank sizes (300g square tank) overflows are $50-60 extra which includes bulkhead.
