Hey RN. Maybe you just set up another tank for him  . I can't help you, but have you tried RC's mantis forum? I would think that the smaller one would get eaten but I don't know that for a fact. Especially in a 5 gal?

I once had three mantis. The first about 3" which I threw into 5 gal. He lived there for about two month. One day I caught two smaller one in the same day. I threw them both in the 5 gal by the time morning rolled around the two smaller one where gone. I don't know what happend, I thought maybe they jumped the tank but I saw nothing on the floor in the entire room. They just vanished. I assume the big one killed and ate them both.

If you want to find a home for him, post in reefcentral's mantis forum.

People will be all over you wanting it. It's warm eneough to ship things now, or maybe someone close would want to drive and pick it up.

I would not put him with the other one.

How is the other one doing by the way??
