I find it no more annoying then when people post questions about: type of algaes in the refugiam, or lighting over their new sps tank, or what type of pvc glue is safe. When they can clearly do a search and find that information. Most people never attempt to do a search before putting up another post about a common question. So, do I find his plug for his web site offensive? NO. So back to the top for some more hits on his web site.

Sude, the whole point of a bulletin board is QUESTIONS. I rather ask a question to someone [regular JOE] than go by what a commecial site or some guy who has a PHD thinks just because he/she went to school they know everything; I'm a firm believer that experience and trial and error are the true ways of learning, not just some lines from a book or infomercials from commercial websites. Point to the matter, like they said back in elementary school: "There are no dumb questions, only dumb answers".

Sorry all...that was supposed to be in the sump.. not in the general discussion area... dunno how it ended up here.... My faux paux.

FWIW... yeah, I was hoping to make a sale or two

If one of the mods could be kind enuf to move it to the sump, I'd appreciate it..

Didn't mean to offend anyone.. but really am kinda curious about different ways/means people support their tank hobby. :D

Don't mean to sound like a mod or admin, but you are not helping your cause by posting follow ups like this; leave the commercial links out, unless they have usefull information for other like a good deal on equipment or fish or corals. [2Cents]

As far as how to support this hobby or any other hobby, go back to your 'pops' advise, where there is a will, there is a way. I know a guy that had no job, no money per say, and still he found ways of getting more stuff [not stealing]. My advise would be check around your neighborhood for lil garage sales or posted ads about used equipment or aquariums for sale, when most people want to get rid of their aquariums is because they can no longer keep them or want them; so there is a pretty good chance to get the stuff for free if you just wait and keep checking, my frined got a 240G acrylic tank full of Koi fish and enough equipment to support a 500G tank, FOR FREE, the person that was "saling" it had to move to a smaller apartment [ironic, he had lost his job as well] and couldn't keep it or store it nowhere and decided to just give them away and let someone take care of them, now that is love for something!

Since when is this a place to discuss people? Jokes are cool and all, but they detour you from the whole point of the thread. Just my 2Cents.
