Just got done looking at CSL's website. Have you fired the puppy up yet, and if so, does it disperse light well? LEDs have naturally poor distribution so I'm wondering how CSL manufacturered it. How much did it cost, btw?

LA - I would just stick then to the hood with velcro. My LFS has them in stock. I'd like to know what you think. Maybe I'll pick one up this weekend.

I've seen them velcro'd over the tank as well. Will induce spawning. CSL has the best blue LED. LED's are quite possibly the future of reef lighting.

I like them. They disperse light ok, LEN you were right.. LEDS need to me in an array to disperse the light... I had two of them on by just placing them on the tang glass and masking tape them to the back of the hood. i didnt want to rip apart my hood last night....

i will post some pics... stand by

very well made. use 1w each and have a nice small power brick (transformer)

Anyone used the Moon Lights from BlueLine (Champion Lighting)? How do they compare to the CSL unit?

Blue Line's appear to have 4 LEDs per "unit". but not sure of the lumens output specs....

no, havent even seen them...

there is a link on RC about these guys using cathode as a moonlight. I guess they use them to light computer cases and such. (why would want to light up your computer case???? :?: )

anway...

I dont like that idea becuase it is like running your actinics. just a blue light.

these actuall ripple with the surface agitation and the fish go nuts... I have got two scooters that are going wild with each other....

anyway. i wish i could get better pics.. but you get the jist of it..
