everything is coming along great and i am almost there for my new tank. one question about live rock, can i cure it in my tank or do you people cure it some where else? i plan on 3 boxs of fiji. any advice?
If your tank is still cycling, I would suggest placing the rock in the tank and it will cure with the tank. If your tank is already established, then cure the rock in a container seperate from the tank.
I am in the process of setting up a tank again. My first go round, I cured the rock in the tank. If your tank is not set up yet and has not been established (i.e. if you're just getting started) it's a lot of fun to watch the process of the rock curing. Slowly you'll start to see life in the forms of algae and some tubeworms (at least in my case). The tank will look better and better as time goes on. Just remember to be patient with the addition of livestock, give the rock plenty of time and ensure that all your tests are within the boundaries.
