just bought a maroon clown 4 days ago. until now, it hasn't eaten a single bit.
fed it pellets since day 2, but it simply chews and tastes it, then spits it out!
(it's always hanging out in the bubble tip anemone.)
what should i do? when's that bugger gonna eat?
What all have you tried feeding him so far? My clowns go crazy for Formula 1, frozen brine, frozen mysis shrimp, etc. Sounds like he doesn't like what you're feeding him.
Tyh, try some frozen food. Most of my fish, even picky eaters will eat a few mysis or some daphnia (freshwater plankton - Sweetwater is a good commercially available brand) sometimes adding a smidgen of garlic mostly as an appetite stimulant. Freshly chopped mussel/clam has also worked on some of my larger fish. My TR percula is not a picky eater and takes all the above as well as flake/pellet as a staple.
