protein skimmer questions

I am wanting to get a better skimmer right now i have a diy cc skimmer and it dose not work very well i am considering a bak pak 2r and a red sea Prizm Protein Skimmer which is better and what are the pros and cons of each i have a 29 gal with 40lbs of lr

I can't give you a good comparison, but I was not happy with my Prizm skimmer. I am in the process of setting up my tank again and I have the AquaC Remora for this go round.

I had a Prizm - don't waste your money. I now have a CPR Bakpak 2r. It performs much better with the mods. Given the choice I would probably buy Aqua C

the aquaC remora hang-on.... is better made then the back-pak hands down... slim profile. very good bubble contact time... no bubble return

if you get one. run it woth the maxi-jet1200. the rio is a P.O.J.

I have an Aqua C Remora Pro Hang On on my custom tall tank, which is about 61 gallons along with about a 28 gallon refugium and it handles the load running about 12 hours per day.
For your 29 gallon, an Aqua C Remora would do just fine in my opinion.
