Replacement DI Cartridges / Premier System

I have a Premier 5 stage RO unit from Costco (Home Depot carries it also.) It has three main filters: Two sediment filters (identical), and a Carbon filter. The replacement Cartridges for the system are 10" X 2 1/2" filters. Instead of using both sediment filters, I was wondering if I could use a DI Cartridge from Spectrapure (I think they are the same size) in the last chamber to make the unit an RO/DI.

Does anyone know if this is possible, and feasible to do?

i did the same on mine its not the same company but it should work as these are standard fitting.

You want your DI cartridge after the membrane not before it otherwise you exhaust the DI resin quickly. Actually your Premier has 1 10 micron prefilter and 2 GAC filters. I also have the Premier, I recently did a filter change using a 1 micron prefilter, solid carbon block and finally a GAC filter. My rejection is running over 98%. I bought a refillable DI cartridge and housing and installed it in my garage next to my laundry sink along with a second bladder tank. Now I can fill my 5G bottles in one shot without having to wait. With the DI I am getting 0.0 TDS down from 550 TDS for the raw water and 13 after the RO.
