Calcium reactor Q

Can I put a calcium reactor in my system without hooking the co2 up to it? I know it wont do much, but then when I get my co2 just hook it up to the reactor. just curious

It won't do harm, that's for sure.

I usually just drain the reactor until the CO2 is ready...

Time. I have the time now to hook it up. Then all I have to do when I get my Co2 is hook it up

Just make sure you've got a good CO2 check valve or other means to close off the CO2 input. Otherwise, you'll have a nice mess on your hands.

I don't think it'll hurt anything (except if your reactor sits too long & gets some light, it might start growing microalgaes inside it, which could start some minor die off).
