Can I put a calcium reactor in my system without hooking the co2 up to it? I know it wont do much, but then when I get my co2 just hook it up to the reactor. just curious

Just make sure you've got a good CO2 check valve or other means to close off the CO2 input. Otherwise, you'll have a nice mess on your hands. ;)

I don't think it'll hurt anything (except if your reactor sits too long & gets some light, it might start growing microalgaes inside it, which could start some minor die off).
