In my experience, it takes a few days before a healthy caulerpa strand will grow enough to send out attachment "roots."

You can:
1. lay out each string one by one and plant them into the sand near the borderline with the LR.

OR

2. Wedge a clump between 2 LRs, wait for a week or 2, they will send out runners if the conditions are right.

I just dumped a bunch in there and ploped a few small rock to hold it down :? ... Bad idea?
