This one is great.

I noticed 5-7 dead damsels in the damsel/yellow tang tank at the LFS. I asked the girl who was working about them, and she told me "Oh, that's what the yellow tangs eat. They are the food for them."

Another reason to do your research and don't ask the LFS for advice.

I heard that a damsel is a rare form/species of macroalgae. So it might be true
No, that's silly, damsels definatly a type of anemone. They are built to be quick and darty because that is their only defense, their tentacles are tiny and their poison very potent. Beware of the dangerous but elusive damsel!

Today my LFS told me that the difference between oscelleris and true perculas are that percs are wild and oscelleris are always tank raised. But if they're tank-raised didn't they have to be caught from the wild at some point. He also told me that they are exactly the same species, the percs just have a more rounded dorsal and more black because they are wild  8O   :?: :!:
