I am trying to raise Alk and Calcium in my tank to a set level and then use Kalkwasser to maintain it. I have added both Kent superbuffer dKH which has raised my Alk to 3.20 meq/l. My calcium level is at 270. I use Salifert test kits. I have added Kent Liquid Calcium 2 days in a row with no results. I have added 10 tsps each day. I have a total of 250gallon reef tank. No load as this is a new tank < 3 months. Why is the calcium level not increasing? Is it possible my skimmer is removing the Liquid Calcium?

Any suggestions?
Thanks!

PH is about 8.10 in the AM and 8.20 in PM.
Just a few soft corals in the tank. This is a new setup about 2-3 months old

I had a similar problem in the past, that was solved by only adding the 2 part bionic from esv. It took several day to raise both alk and ca. You will have to measure those both daily as well of course. Check your magnesium level also.

Salifert and LaMotte test kits are the most reliable imho
