I dont think a remora is designed for a mag 3 it might be to much pressure and I dont think it will be right you migh tjust skim out all water and have to empty your cup alot. The Remora Pro is designed for the mag 3 though.
Are you one of those guys who thinks everything is not fast enough, not enough power, or not big enough??

i just can not get the remora to get any skimmate it runs continuously but does not make any foam. The reef is only six month old and it worked before but just stopped a couple of weeks ago

Mine was doing something of the same I wasnt getting much skim out of it. If you wanted to clean the injector screw that worked out well for me sorry do some cleaning on it and let it run. Do you put your hands in the tank often that will definetly stop it form skimming for a while as well as feeding. Let it run it should be fine

I had the same issue with my Remora after about 14 months of use. I took the unit off the tank (dumped water back into tank), put it in a 5 gallon bucket full of vinegar and ran it for about 4 hours. It actually produced some nice vinegar skimmate. I then ran it with RO water for about 30 minutes. Lastly, I cleaned the injector with the brush that came with it and took apart and cleaned the Maxijet that came with it. After a day or so of breaking in again, it is skimming like new again. I plan on doing this with all my skimmers at least 2x a year.
