Is A DSB Appropriate In A Reef Tank?

ron shimek has a teeny problem w/making cause and effect conclusions in true scientific method fashion, methinks :wink:

i think that for simple nnr, a 3" dsb will do-deeper ones prolly do create more biodiversity, though-my impression-and a sump is an ideal place to put it-for those who get bothered by aesthetic issues of all that stuff up against the glass

the organic components of poop do not stay in the dsb forever-imo-though some of the inorganic (minerals, etc) probably do.
