pH too high

OK, I added too much Marine Buffer a couple of weeks ago. My pH is riding at about 8.4/day, 8.6+/night. Corals seem alright, but aren't all open at the same time. I want to bring the pH down a bit, but I don't have any Marine Unbuffer :lol: . Will vinager work, or what should I use? I've never had a problem w/ too high of pH before.

Wally dont worry about it, it's not a huge gap. Leave it naturally to alter.

I would agree with Gary. It may regulate by itself. Your daily swing of about 0.2 should not be a problem. I have used vinegar that will bring your pH down, but can't recommend it as you may get a very rapid decrease which can be deadly. Better to leave it alone for now. Ultimately, I would recommend a water change as opposed to adding anything.
