i was wondering what the hardiest species of anthias are , as i am looking to get a large school of them......what are the nicest looking/hardy of them.
I've consistently seen Pseudanthias squamipinnis (Lyretail anthias) listed as the hardiest anthias. They do get relatively large, though, and a school of 9 or more individuals (the recommended minimum school size) would require a large tank.
Don't have the book on me, but I believe they get 5 inches apiece. I wouldn't put that many fish in a tank smaller than 200 gallons.
