Hi Nancy. Marty & I will be there, going down late Thursday.
BTW, I took your suggestion and am using JodoHost for hosting right now (of course within 48 hours they removed the feature that sold me on them, unix shell access:-(
Can't wait to see you and Marty again!!! I thought Tom was doing the CMAS web??? Sorry I steered you wrong with JodoHost but switching shouldn't be difficult.
Jeremy...NO WAY....you'll be in very good hands and well taken care of in Louisville.
This year for my senior project I am going to create an informative/interactive CD. The CD is going to be split into two parts. The first is going to be an informtaive guide to corals. Similar to Bornemans corals book. Basically cover as many corals as I can with all their specs in the wild as well as in captivity. Basically a referance guide on a CD.
The second part will be similar to RC's "Tank of the Month" I want to get as many people to participate as I can. I want to showcase everyones aquariums so then others can see what people are doing around the country(or world) if I get some people that far away. I would like it if people who are going would copy pics of their system onto a CD. pics can range form tank shots to equipment set-ups. and also a document describing your set-up. if you want an example just look at RC's TOTM and thats the kind of info I am looking for.
I will hopefully get a chance to meet with many of you and will hopefully have a flyer at RC's booth or at LMAS booth, or both. maybe also have a drop box for your CD or info if you dont get a chance to bump into me.
If any one also has any suggestions as to content of the CD please let me know. Anything else, just give me an email if you want more details. BTW: anyway who participates will get a free copy. and depending on how much time I have I want to make this a 3 part series. one on corals, one on fish and the last in inverts.
I figured I'd sticky this post for all of the MACNA attendees from Reefs.org.
BTW folks, please stop by the Reefs.org table while you're at MACNA. James, Nico, Terry Siegel, some of the Taskforce members, etc will all be there working hard to promote our website. Also, many of the Advanced Aquarist authors should be stopping by the table to say Hi and whatnot so if you hang out there long enough you may meet some of them.
Also, MACO has offered two FREE class certificates for the MACNA raffle drawing at the end of the conference. Please be sure to enter the raffle as these certificates are worth $35 and $75 respectively.
Looks like the Sharkky will be swimming around those waters, at least on Saturday, representing the photography forum. Look for me around the RDO booth and/or wandering around shooting pictures.
Thanks for the offer John. I have been working so much, and this weekend is our church campout, which will be the first time my boys have been camping (they are three and one) and I wouldn't miss it for the world. I wanted to meet everyone, though and put the face and personality to the name so to speak.
No, I just haven't had the time to really get involved in the local scene as much as I'd like. I've got too many other irons in the fire, so to speak, right now. Kellly and I are involved in about 4 or 5 different soccer leagues, work, the photo forum here, etc. It's just too much to keep going sometimes.
