I'm curious to know whether people remove the remains of an invert's molting or if it's beneficial in any way to leave it.

As the molts are inert, it would'nt matter if you left them in the tank. But i normally remove, if they are accessable. Purely for asthetics.

I just leave it in there, it doesn't stay in view very long anyway.

Leave it. It aint gooing to hurt anything. Or, take it out if it bothers you.

Thanks for the responses, I was concerned that it was adversely affecting my bio-load. I'm just about out of the woods after battling a wicked green hair algae bloom and am trying to avoid a relapse.

I take them out if I can get to them.......the ones I don't get are usually gone in a short time.
