Plate Coral Moving?

I have what I believe is a plate coral. Its doing unbelievable and is growing great. I placed it in a big open area in my tank on the sand as the LFS told me that it needed a lot of room so its tentacles could open up. So I did as I was told, and its been there for a solid week. I was looking at my tank tonite and I noticed it moved a solid 3 inches!! Is this normal? What might have caused this. My water parameters are all normal. Ideas? Answers? thanks

That is perfectly normal. They will move.

Are they aggressive towards anything? do i have to worry about it stinging anything? Fish or Inverts? Thanks.

They are not really agressive. Mostly, they are the ones who GET stung, so you have to keep an eye on them.
