Hi guys...
A relative of mine has a 125g reef (6 foot tank),has had daylight compacts and floures. actinics as his lighting and the tank water looked great, now he upgraded to a fixture (expensive one with Elec. ballast) with a few 175w "Aqua Ray" MH bulbs and a couple 140w actinics, and the water is green under them..
I would assume its the particular bulbs he is using but not sure,is there a color diff. with Halide bulbs?,could anyone suggest bulbs that will not make the tank (rocks, fish and all) look green?, I never sold MH lights and dont know much about em....thanks.....Riot....
