I dig the Aqua C remora too. Works really well and doesnt require really any maintanence. I bought mine from the president Jason of Aqua C cause I live near the headquarters. It was one of those he souldnt sell cause it had a cosmetic blemish on it and it wasnt good enough for retail. I use it on a 50 gal right now and empty the cup every other day.

More than likely I could. I have already tried once and it was double the price of the one he sold me in the first place. I nly paid 50 for mine and he wanted to charge me 100 for the second. If you dont mind paying that then yeah I can get another one. Its still a good deal they retail for over 150. Ohh and you need to buy a pump to drive it they recommend a rio 800 or a maxi jet 1200. I am using the maxi jet

Hey,

I'm thinking about an AquaC Remora for a new 20g as well, but I'm really concerned about overall noise. Can anyone comment on it? How would it compare to a BakPak?

although I have never really heard a bak pak run the remora just seems like a altogether better skimmer easy to no maintenance and its really super quiet. Its only as loud as the pump you use. THey recommend a maxi jet 1200 or rio 800 I went with the maxi jet its smaller and more reliable . They are both very quiet

IME the noise level between the two is similar. IMO the Remora is well worth the few extra bucks - better performer, less frequent pump cleanings required. I suggest running it with the maxijet.
